{"id":433,"date":"2026-06-16T14:40:49","date_gmt":"2026-06-16T12:40:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vum-miller.mwd-dev.lu\/?post_type=mw_grid_item&#038;p=433"},"modified":"2026-06-30T14:35:01","modified_gmt":"2026-06-30T12:35:01","slug":"lensenzopp","status":"publish","type":"mw_grid_item","link":"https:\/\/vum-miller.lu\/en\/all-rezepter\/lensenzopp\/","title":{"rendered":"Lentil Soup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Ingredients (serves about 4)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>250\u2013300 g dried lentils (not soaked)<\/li>\n<li>1 large onion<\/li>\n<li>2 potatoes<\/li>\n<li>2 carrots<\/li>\n<li>1 piece of celery root (celeriac)<\/li>\n<li>Water<\/li>\n<li>Salt, pepper and mustard seeds (to taste)<\/li>\n<li>1 bay leaf<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Optional seasonings<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Summer savory<\/li>\n<li>Galangal<\/li>\n<li>Bertram (pellitory root)<\/li>\n<li>A little bacon (optional)<\/li>\n<li>1 smoked sausage (Mettwurst)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vegetarian version<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Simply omit the bacon and the smoked sausage.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Preparation<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Peel and finely chop the onion.<\/li>\n<li>Dice the potatoes, carrots and celery root.<\/li>\n<li>Saut\u00e9 the onion and vegetables together in a pot.<\/li>\n<li>Pour in the water and bring to a boil.<\/li>\n<li>Add the seasonings.<\/li>\n<li>If desired, add a little bacon.<\/li>\n<li>In a second pot, cover the lentils with water.<\/li>\n<li>Cook for 20\u201325 minutes (without salt).<\/li>\n<li>Drain the lentils and keep the cooking water (for example, for other recipes).<\/li>\n<li>Add the cooked lentils to the vegetables.<\/li>\n<li>Season with salt, pepper and optional herbs to taste.<\/li>\n<li>Simmer gently for a few more minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Finally, add the smoked sausage and allow it to heat through.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Healthy Hildegard of Bingen spices (optional)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This lentil soup uses spices recommended by Hildegard of Bingen.
